Empathy is the new black.
These last several months have been long months of study and transformation. Just like my new blog was coming about, my new self was making its way to the light. Transitions and transformation are hard, they make you feel uncomfortable, they give you a suffocating feeling, the so called “Lobster Effect”. Before making its way into his new and bigger shell, better fitting for its size, the lobster has to go through the growing pains of adapting itself to the new environment. Adapting is hard, and requires a high degree of flexibility. That stage of adapting is the very phase of growth.
Empathy is trying on someone else’s shoes.
During this time of change I have sat for long hours with my eyes shut, on my yoga mat, inhaling and exhaling, feeling like jumping out of my skin happy and grateful just for my very breath. When for the first time I ran into the author Gabby Bernstein reading the book “The Universe Has Your Back” a new world opened up for me, feelings I had been feeling my whole life started to make sense. The idea of a greater power, called the Universe, looking over me cuddled my imagination. The idea of being a Lightworker, a healer in some ways, flatters me.
Empathy is the reflection of joy.
What I want to do here on my blog is to share all those things that bring joy and love in my life, just like cooking, traveling, playing, running, meditating and much more to create a tribe of joy and light. My desire is to create a corner, a sanctuary if you wish, where life is delicious and juicy. It would be my infinite pleasure to hear from you, with thoughts and ideas to help me expand and grow into my highest potential to, then, give it all back.
Empathy is a work of love.
As a start I am sharing a guided meditation that I listen to every morning. I listen to it sitting down with my eyes closed or even when I busily cruise around the house trying to get out of the door. I love the feeling of calm and focus that the words of this meditation help me achieve. I hope it will do the same for you.
Empathy is a mission.
We all must remember that we are here, on this earth, for a greater purpose. Our job is to see and recognize our power. We must not be afraid of our lack of power in this life, on the contrary, we shall be afraid (if we must be afraid of something) of our greatness, of our infinite power. We are the ones who decide the direction of our existence.
Empathy has a high vibration.
We condition our reality with our thoughts. What we think repeatedly in our head becomes tangible in the world around us. The biggest challenge we are facing in our lives is to learn to guide our thoughts and imagination and channel them to create constructive images, which help our lives to flourish.
Empathy attracts love.
In these last few years we are all accustomed to hearing about “The law of Attraction” and how we all attract what we think. In other words, contrary to the traditional belief, or superstition, when we worry about something we are not protecting ourselves from it, we are actually attracting it, and creating more of it.That’s why it is said that energy flows where attention goes. Pay close attention to the behavior of your thoughts, because they determine the world around you. If you are a person that keeps having negative thoughts and ideas, you are most likely going to manifest the same negativity in your contingent world.
Empathy is our purpose.
The inputs that we receive determine our thoughts, our thoughts determine our words and our words have a strong influence on our subconscious mind, which will believe everything that it hears. If you hear, think, talk about yourself as somebody that is not good enough, smart enough, beautiful enough etc. etc. We, together with our subconscious mind, will start believing that it is really who we are. Not good enough. Not smart enough, not beautiful enough. This is all wrong, everyone of us is absolutely perfect the way we are, with our perks and our flaws. We are one of a kind, every single one of us. What we share though, and we all have the same of is our infinite potential and light that we must learn to bring forth. Our job is to learn how to make our gift and purpose in life come out of us in order to serve the word in which we live. Let our light come through.
Empathy is the way to meet the other.
Everyday we touch the lives of tons of people, with a smile, a handshake, a high five, a story of ours we shared, and these can mean the world, they can change lives, because we are all so important for one another. Silence the voice of negativity, judgment and criticism and replace them with positivity, empathy, and compassion for yourself and for others. Go out and save the world!
